Terry was already on the RAFMS, RAF Abingdon when I was posted there in August 1970. The Condec had just been introduced into the RAF as an MT vehicle, and would you believe Terry was instructing MT drivers in its operation.
We were together again at RAF Gutersloh in 1983. During that time Jean and the girls would have a chat with Gisela over coffee, hence Gisela became known to the children as the lady with the posh tea cups.
Ever since we have exchanged Christmas cards but, over the last 2 years we have not had one in return. Having bought a sympathy card I was wondering if you can confirm the following address for Jean is still current?
John

Graham Fitzgerald

As always thank you for keeping me updated. Sad news
Kind regards,

Many thanks for the info on Terry’s funeral. Out here in Oz I see various messages on the happenings regarding old mates and regret that I will be saying my farewells remotely, so to speak.
It is many years since I worked with Terry but the memory is still clear. If the opportunity arises please give Jean, who I have never met, my condolences.
Thanks again.
John

Yet again we see the passing of a fellow tradesman.
I had the pleasure of working with Terry T on JHSU in its early days.
A sad loss is in my book an understatement in extreme. I personally found Terry to be a firm but fair individual who would take time to "nurture" new guys and give willingly his wealth of knowledge. It was a pleasure to have worked with a man who was a true asset to the trade.
May he rest in peace...
Paul.

Terry Roberts

Our thoughts are with Jean and the family at this sad time I have some very fond memories of Terry which I will always treasure. Terry taught me some words that I did not know existed.

Many thanks for this information. I was very sad to hear about the death of Terry Titterington. I don't think I ever met him but his name is familiar and often came up in conversation. Had he been an instructor at the movements’ school? I won't come to the funeral but I do hope he has a good send off.
Kind regards
Brian

I did have the honour to meet Terry, as Mr Titterington, although I doubt that he would have
Re-called me, having had to put up with so many young officers!
I remember him as being very good natured, and with a depth of experience which we were in awe of. I am very sorry to hear the sad news.

Peter Wentworth

I was very sad to hear of Terry's death although I knew that he was nearing the end. I joined the RAF as an Admin Apprentice in 1957. On the same day in the same 32nd Entry so did Terry Turrell, Frank Thorington and Terry Titterington. All of them went onto become Movers and I an AQM. We met up frequently down the Route and it was always a great pleasure. Terry was a lovely man who will be greatly missed. I will be at Kingsdown on Thursday 18th to bid him farewell. Rest in Peace dear Terry

Another legend passes on, my sincere condolences to Terry’s family & those that were fortunate to know him

Condolences to family I never worked under Terry, although he was a FS instructor at RAFMS when I went through as an Op, and our paths did occasionally cross. By all accounts an awesome tradesman, and all round nice bloke? RIP Mr Titterington

Devastated to learn of the death of Mr T. My thoughts are with his family at this sad moment. I was lucky enough to have worked with him for a number of years. He was my FS at the movs school in 79, we worked together at JHSU(G) for a few years and did a tour of the Falklands together, finally ending up as my shift WO at Lyneham I could go on and on about what a great guy and mentor he was, but those who knew him already know that. Most of the sadness I feel is for those who never had the privilege of knowing him, but a little I keep for myself. I have great memories of great guy.
Goodbye Mr T and thanks for everything.

A true loss to say the least...A pleasure to have worked with Terry on JHSU (G) all those years ago...RIP Mr T....
