Al Thomas

It is with regret and great sadness I have to inform you my old mate Al Thomas chocked out of life in New Zealand, Sunday morning (27th July) for those who cannot remember Al he was the UKMAMS Squadron Admin Warrant Officer from June 1985 until May 1987. Al being Al arranged a special duties tour to the British High Commission in New Zealand and promptly worked on civilianising the post and arranging his own discharge (June 99) enabling him to take up the post.  Al and Jean settled there although Al has been unable to work for sometime through Ill health (having had a triple by pass sometime ago) Jean remained working in the passport office at the High Commission.

died after suffering a heart attack on 9th April 2007 aged 43.
